A Simple Skeleton Look For Halloween | AD

If you've been a follower of mine for a while you will know that I absolutely love Autumn and Halloween. I don't know what it is about this time of year but something inside me just comes alive and i'm suddenly bursting with ideas and creativity again!

A Pawfect Day Out | AD

Having three dogs can be a real handful at times but the Summer months are the perfect time of year for us to all enjoy some adventures together outside.

Casa Cook Ibiza

Last week we returned to our favourite holiday destination, Ibiza.

When I found out that luxury boutique hotel brand Casa Cook were opening their highly anticipated Ibiza location this Summer I couldn’t wait to hop online and book up. I've been wanting to stay at a Casa Cook hotel for quite some time so I was really excited to find out that they were opening in Ibiza.

Tapas Revolution

This week I was invited along to Tapas Revolution to try out all of their new vegan friendly dishes. Having never been to this restaurant before, I was really looking forward to trying something new and with the weather in the UK reaching mediterranean highs it was the perfect time to enjoy some Spanish cuisine!

My Favourite Mental Health Podcasts

One thing i've really got into over the past year is podcasts. I never thought I would become a podcast kinda person but now I couldn't quite imagine my life without listening to a podcast every night when I go to bed. They've become a solid part of my evening routine and it's something I find myself looking forward to every day. I'm also certain they've helped me to go off to sleep better and stay asleep for longer.

Two Nights In An Off Grid Cabin

For a long time now my husband and I have been really interested in off grid living. Slowly but surely he has started to add solar panels to our roof and he's even bought himself a mini wind turbine which helps to generate power for his shed. I've really got into growing my own vegetables over the past couple of years and often day dream about what a completely self sufficient lifestyle would be like.

Living With Chronic Back Pain

I can't really recall when back pain became a real issue for me but I have a feeling it was at a kettlebells class around six years ago. Something that started off as an irritating niggle in my lower back has stayed with me and it's now something I have to actively and regularly remedy with stretching and repeat visits to the chiropractor. Part of me wondered initially if this was just part and parcel of getting older and more aches and pains presenting themselves but the day my back locked and I couldn't move was a real indication that something more serious was wrong.

My Current Skincare Hero's

I don't know why but since hitting my mid 30's my skin has become more unpredictable than ever. Maybe it's hormones or the fact that I haven't had a baby, who knows! Some days it looks amazingly clear and bright and the next week it will feel like I am having a really bad breakout. I was so fortunate during my teenage years and my 20's to have near perfect skin and for that I will always be grateful. But if anything that always led me to believe that I would never suffer with any skin problems. How wrong was I!?!

Design Your Look With Tropic's Colour Palette | AD

One of my major bugbears when it comes to buying makeup palettes is that I know that I will almost always only end up using half of the product as it's very rare that all of the shades will be to my liking. This in turn then makes justifying spending out on a new palette a real debate as my makeup drawer is currently stacked with over five half used palettes. I'm sure so many of you can relate to this!

Banana Tree At High Chelmer | AD

Last weekend I was lucky enough to be invited along to review the Banana Tree restaurant at  High Chelmer in Chelmsford. My visit also happened to coincide with the annual Chelmsford Food & Drink Festival and High Chelmer were keen to celebrate their own restaurant offering at The Exchange over this weekend. With restaurants like Banana Tree, Cote Brasserie, Turtle Bay and Turquoise Kitchen they certainly have a diverse global food offering and plenty of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A Suffolk Staycation

There are a few places within the UK that I often enjoy going back to for mini breaks and Suffolk is really up there at the top of the list. This area ticks so many boxes for me - beautiful beaches and countryside, idyllic villages and it's only a couple of hours from Essex. It's just about far enough away to feel like we're somewhere else, without being an absolute pain to get to.

Losing My Park Run Virginity

If any of you caught My Couch to 5k Journey post a little while back you will already know that this year I have (quite shockingly) taken up running and one of my New Year goals was to take part in a local Park Run.

Giggling Squid

Last week I was kindly invited along to my local Giggling Squid restaurant to try out their vegetarian & vegan menu and to hear about their special Mother's Day Golden Ticket promotion (more on that later!). Having never been to the restaurant before I was really excited to find out what was on offer.

Macramé Workshop at Perrywood Garden Centre

At the weekend I was very lucky to be invited along to a Macramé workshop at my favourite house plant haven, Perrywood Garden Centre. I've always really loved the look of Macramé wall hangings and plant hangers but until now I'd never had a go at the craft so I was really looking forward to the experience and learning how to Macramé for myself.

Furbo Dog Camera Review | AD

As many of you will already know, my life is pretty much dominated by our three adorable dogs. They are the centre of our world and we treat them like they're our children! When Furbo reached out to me to see if I would like to try out one of their innovative dog cameras I was immediately interested to learn more. We'd been thinking about getting a dog camera for quite a while so the timing couldn't have been more perfect.

My Couch To 5k Journey

Back in the Summer of 2018 I thought I would give Couch To 5k a go. I've never been good at running and that's always put me off it as a form of exercise but, that being said, there are many aspects to it that I really like. The fact that you can just go outside and do it at any time and it doesn't cost anything are huge plus points alone. I'm also a keen walker and I love any form of exercise that involves being outside so all of this led me to want to give it a go.

Exploring Iceland | Travel

Ten years ago I visited Iceland with a good friend of mine and I always knew it would be somewhere I’d want to return to again. It was one of those unique holidays I found myself reminiscing over for many years to come and I’d often talk to my husband about it and feel sad that he’d never experienced it for himself. So when it came to organising him a birthday present last year the first idea that sprung to mind was a trip to Iceland! It's quite rare that I will re-visit somewhere more than once as I am always more excited to explore new places but Iceland is one of those really special countries that will keep you coming back time and time again.

New Year, Same Me? | AD

This January I haven't set myself any grand new year goals and I have to say that it feels refreshingly great! I do have some personal goals that i've been working towards but, as they've already been in motion since last year, I didn't feel the need to make any additional resolutions of any kind.

Veganuary At Wagamama

You should all know by now that one of my regular and all time favourite places to eat is Wagamama so when they invited me to their Colchester restaurant to enjoy some of their vegan dishes for Veganuary I of course jumped at the chance!

Chipotle Mexican Grill | London

This week I was invited along to the opening of a new Chipotle restaurant in London and I couldn't wait to go along as, having never eaten there before, I was really looking forward to trying their food for the first time and exploring their different plant based options. Chipotle now have seven locations in the London area, with the newest opening up just near Monument station in the City.
