Design Your Look With Tropic's Colour Palette | AD

One of my major bugbears when it comes to buying makeup palettes is that I know that I will almost always only end up using half of the product as it's very rare that all of the shades will be to my liking. This in turn then makes justifying spending out on a new palette a real debate as my makeup drawer is currently stacked with over five half used palettes. I'm sure so many of you can relate to this!

When Tropic reached out to me and asked if I would like to design my own Colour Palette I immediately jumped at the chance. The idea of completely tailoring a palette to my own specific taste and needs was an opportunity I certainly didn't want to pass up. What I wasn't quite expecting was just SO much choice. With over 50 different product options and a whopping 734 million different combinations available, you can really create your own bespoke look that is individual to you.

The Colour Palette has been a long time in the making (three years to be precise!) and one thing I just love about it is that it has been created with the eco-conscious in mind. With its refill pans it really is encouraging us all to be less wasteful. You can keep the case forever and simply refill the products inside as and when you need to. Once the product has run out, the aluminium trays are recyclable along with all of the secondary packaging. In this day and age it's so positive to see brands taking important steps to do whatever they can to reduce waste and I think Tropic are really leading by example.

Another plus to this product is that it is absolutely perfect for on the go makeup application. Rather than having multiple different products filling up your handbag this has everything you need in one handy compact palette. Tropic's Colour Palette allows you to curate your own signature look that fits into one sleek case no bigger than your smartphone. So if you happen to be one of those people who favour some extra minutes in bed in the morning and using your commute time to apply your makeup, this palette could be exactly what you've been looking for.

When creating my own Colour Palette I was really impressed by how the Tropic online store takes you through configuring your palette in an easy to follow step by step process. You can literally see your palette coming together as you choose your options which was both satisfying and fun! There is a wide choice of eye shadows, eye liner, brow definers, concealer, blushers, highlighters, bronzers, contour and setting powder to choose from.

The configuration I chose for my own Colour Palette included 2 small, 2 medium and 1 large product. I decided to go for 2 Eyes On You Pressed Eyeshadow's in the shades Oatmeal and Cashew. For my medium sized products I chose the Blush Crush Pressed Colour in the shade Cheeky Peach and Way To Go Pressed Highlighter in the shade Afterglow. For the large product I went with a Jet Set Pressed Bronzer in the shade Bali Bronze. I absolutely adore the look of my palette and what I created! Best of all I love all of these shades and know that they are the perfect fit for my own personal makeup look. There's certainly no chance of anything in this palette not getting used.

One thing that keeps me coming back to Tropic time and time again is the quality of their products. It may sound crazy but I can't tell you how good this palette feels in your hands! It's a little masterpiece. Everything clicks into place so perfectly, I can't stop playing with it! The makeup itself also applies beautifully and looks and feels so good on my skin.

It always feels great to support UK brands whose ethics are so inline with my own. All of Tropic's products are vegan friendly, cruelty free and they're a certified carbon neutral company. Tropic pride themselves on creating high quality cosmetics that are both kind to your skin and the environment.
