My Winter Makeup Look

I really enjoyed putting together my cruelty free Autumn Makeup Look back in October and so I thought it would be fun to do one for the festive period too. This time cruelty free and vegan friendly brands Arbonne and Tropic both wanted to collaborate on this with me on this to help me achieve a perfect Winter look!

Arbonne sent me over one of their It's A Long Story mascaras to try out which I was really looking forward to using. Over the past 6-12 months I have mainly stuck with my Barry M Last Vegas and I was interested to see if Arbonne's mascara was any better.

It's A Long Story mascara took me a little while to get used to using as it's quite different to my usual mascara and it has quite a flexible and bendy brush. I was however initially really impressed with how non clumping this mascara is and I found it to be the perfect solution for more natural / day time eye lashes but also very build-able for a more dramatic lash look in the evening. The more I used this mascara the more I got used to it and I have really loved how long my lashes have felt since using it.

Tropic sent me over three of their makeup products to use which included their Colour Click Lipstick's in the shade 'Poppy' , a Lip Glaze in 'Pink Champagne and one of their 'Wild Wisteria' Mineral Eye Shadow Palette's. Having never tried any of Tropic's makeup before I was really looking forward to using it and finding out what it's like.

When I first saw the 'Poppy' shade of lipstick I knew it would be perfect for this wintery and festive makeup look. I just don't think you can go wrong with vibrant red lips at this time of year, particularly if you have a Christmas party to go to! I always feel that extra bit sassy and confident with bright red lips.

My first impressions of the Colour Click Lipstick were really good! Not only did I love the colour but the packaging felt really great quality and I really like how you have to push and 'click' this lipstick upwards before the top lid can be released. I can't tell you how many times I have been finding my lipsticks in my handbag with their lids fallen off and elsewhere. This is such a great solution!

When applying this lipstick it felt so smooth and creamy, it literally glided onto my lips so easily and it felt really moisturising. I do suffer with dry lips at this time of year and I therefore tend to lean more towards satin / shimmery lips opposed to matte ones. I absolutely love how this lipstick feels on my lips!

During the day time I do tend to wear more of a natural / nude look on my lips and I generally go for a gloss opposed to a lipstick. I couldn't wait to try out Tropic's award winning Lip Glaze as it looked like the exact kind of colour I usually go for during  the day time.

When I first used the Lip Glaze I was pretty blown away by just how gorgeous it smelt! I also love how it has a slight shimmer to it which I felt gave my lips more of a plump and 3 dimensional look. This Lip Glaze glides onto your lips effortlessly and also has some longevity to it which is something I struggle with other lip glosses I use. The Pink Champagne shade is particularly classy and understated and I think it's the perfect choice if you're going for a more natural look.

When I first opened the Mineral Eyeshadow Palette I was really impressed by how pigmented the different shades are. Again the packaging felt really great quality and I liked that the palette comes with a mirror too which makes on the go application during the party season even easier. I also really like palettes like this which make going from a day time to evening look so easy - perfect for anyone heading out to a Christmas party straight from work!

For my Winter daytime makeup look I chose to use the palest shade all over my eyelid and I then added the shade beneath into my eyelid crease and blended it out a little bit. This gave me a really subtle and pretty bright eye look with a slight bit of warmth to not make me look too washed out.

In this day time look I also used the Tropic 'Pink Champagne' Lip Glaze and Arbonne's 'It's a Long Story' mascara.

To build this natural day time makeup look into more of an evening or party ready look is also super easy and works well at giving you a completely different look.

I simply added the darkest shade of eyeshadow into my eyelid creases and blended outwards. I also used this colour eyeshadow to lightly line my low lid too, as well as applying some black eye liner to my inner lower water line.

I think the 'Poppy' Colour Click Lip Stick done a pretty amazing job of transforming my natural look into a much more vibrant and festive look all on it's own! It's so highly pigmented and bright, it'll help you to stand out in a crowd and feel your most confident.

If you wanted to make this look even more dramatic you could also opt to add some liquid black liner to your top eye lid and add some volumising false eye lashes too.

  2. You are looking beautiful. It is not that much easy to look beautiful in winters. I love to play with my makeup, but now I am in my 30s and few months back ageing problem is there but now I am using Lifecell antiaging cream. It is really very effective.
