A Birthday Break At Soho Farmhouse | Travel

When it came to deciding what I wanted to do for my birthday this year I knew there was only one place I really wanted to go back to - Soho Farmhouse. My husband and I visited earlier this year for the first time for a little Valentines getaway and it was seriously one of my favourite breaks away ever. We had such a great time that I couldn't wait to re-book and go again!

If you're looking for complete rest and relaxation then this hotel is definitely for you. One thing I really like about this place is that you leave your car at the front check in area, which is away from the main hotel, and that your only modes of transport when in the hotel grounds are either walking, bicycles or electric BMW i3's. It means that the whole place is just so tranquil and peaceful and you really do feel as though you are deep within the countryside and away from everything.

It was so nice to be back at Soho Farmhouse in December and to see it looking so pretty for Christmas. A lot of people moan about having birthdays in December and close to Christmas but I actually really like it because everywhere you go just feels so festive!

This break was pure relaxation and we didn't do anything other than chill out in our gorgeously cosy cabin, eat lots of yummy food and sit by the fire. It was perfect! Our cabin was like a little piece of heaven so we didn't really want to leave it that much. We had a great selection of movies to choose from on the TV and a huge bath tub so I was more than at home!

Aside from the main restaurants and cafe, you can also get food delivered to your cabin and the breakfast float is a real highlight that I would recommend booking ahead if you do stay here. To have our breakfast cooked for us right outside of our cabin door felt like a real luxury. It was also good to see a decent selection of veggie and plant based options on the menu too and everything was clearly labelled. The breakfast was so good!

A real highlight of my stay this time was spending a little time on the farm itself and getting to enjoy some cuddles with the gorgeous pygmy goats. They were so adorable and cute, I wish I could have smuggled them home with me!

It can be tricky to get a reservation at Soho Farmhouse if you're not already a member but they are currently expanding and offering up more non member bookings so it's well worth checking out if you like the look of it. It's also easier if you are flexible with your dates and can stay midweek as weekends are usually for members only.

Have you been to Soho Farmhouse?
