Miss Walls Back Garden - Eastbourne

A couple of weeks ago we popped down to Eastbourne for the weekend to visit my Mum who last year relocated from Essex to the East Sussex coast. Every time we visit I do like to take the opportunity to visit new Veggie & Vegan establishments for something to eat as I just love trying out new places!

With the Vegan haven of Brighton just down the road, it does seem that more plant based restaurants and cafe's are starting to make their way to Eastbourne too. I used my Happy Cow app to locate Miss Walls Back Garden and we decided to head their for breakfast on the Saturday morning.

Not only is this cafe both Veggie & Vegan friendly but they also happen to sell some products inside too. We absolutely loved the pink Himalayan salt on our table so picked some up to take home with us!

The menu board was vast with most options being Vegan friendly too which was great to see. My only regret was perhaps not arriving a bit later so that we could enjoy the lunch options which were on display at the counter. It all looked so delicious and inviting!

As we arrived at 10:30am in the morning we decided that we had to go with the breakfast option instead as it was too early to be tucking into lunch. The breakfasts also sounded great and we both opted for some mushrooms on toast with a side of avocado.

I really loved the homely and rustic edge to this cafe which made it feel both comfortable and welcoming. It was also buzzing with activity which is always great to see. The table opposite us appeared to be full of people from a local yoga / exercise group who had congregated there for a post workout breakfast and chat which made me very envious about not having somewhere like this on my own doorstep. The service and staff were also very friendly and welcoming too, even to out of towners like us!

I decided that I just had to try one of their Vegan hot chocolates which was really tasty and needed after a brisk morning stroll around the shops.

Breakfast arrived and looked amazing! I had only recently had mushrooms on toast so I wasn't sure how much I would be in the mood for it but it was very inviting and I loved having the side of avocado with it  too. It was a really filling, healthy and wholesome breakfast which ended up keeping me going all day.

If you happen to be in Eastbourne anytime soon be sure to check out this lovely little place for some casual, fuss free and sociable Vegan eats.
