e.l.f at Superdrug

E.l.f have been one of my all time favourite vegan friendly brands of makeup ever since I made the leap into living a cruelty free lifestyle. I jumped for joy when I recently heard that they are now being sold at Superdrug stores and online and I couldn't wait to place my first order.

If, like me, you have been a fan of e.l.f for some time then you will have no doubt rode the wave of uncertainty that has surrounded this brands future in the UK over the last year or so. At one point they completely stopped delivering to this country which lead to me bulk panic buying when I was in the US. Then they found a UK distributor and once again we could order their products online but I personally found the service really hit and miss with delivery times taking so long and so many products always being out of stock. I admit that for a while I had to step away from them because the service left me feeling so dissatisfied. Then a couple of months ago I heard from a Superdrug staff member that e.l.f were soon to be sold at their stores. I couldn't quite believe it!

This has been such a long time coming and I am so relieved that I am able to purchase their products with confidence again. As soon as their line went on sale online I decided to place an order and pick myself up a few makeup items including their Flawless Finish Foundation which for a long time was my 'go to' product. As much as I love the Too Faced Born This Way foundation I have been using, I have been finding that I get through it way too quickly and it's pretty expensive. I immediately ordered myself my old favourite by e.l.f and at only £7.50 I decided to pick up two. It's crazy to think I can buy four of these for the price of one Born This Way!

I also picked up a B Bare Finishing Powder as since Barry M stopped making my usual Flawless Matte Perfecting Powder I have needed to find an alternative. I've only used this a few times so far but I already really like it and the finish it gives my skin. It's super lightweight and sets my makeup perfectly.

Finally, I decided to buy a B Bare LightWeight Concealer Stick too just to try out as I liked the look of it. I've found that this applies really well on my under eye area and I really like how creamy and silky the formula is.

I can honestly say that I've never tried an e.l.f product that I have been disappointed with. Some products I love more than others, but all in all they are an excellent brand of makeup which is affordable, cruelty free and vegan friendly. The fact that I can now buy their products again here in the UK just makes me so happy!

Are you already an e.l.f fan or are you about to be converted!?

  1. The only elf product I haven't liked was a lipstick because it was much paler irl than the swatch on the website. Everything else I've loved!

  2. I've only tried a couple of e.l.f products but I wasn't overly impressed tbh. Maybe I need to try a couple more as it was quite a while ago since I tried any.
