Vegan Snack Attack!

Over the past few weeks I've been lucky enough to receive an abundance of different vegan snacks to try out and I've decided to share my favourites with you all in one big blog post. Some of them you may already know and love, others may be totally new to you, but one thing's for sure - they'll all get your mouth watering!

Doisy & Dam chocolate bars have been on my radar for quite some time but until now I had never tried them before. In my head I have always read this chocolate as being 'Daisy & Dom' so I felt quite silly when I actually stopped to read it properly! It's crazy how your mind can just read what it wants sometimes.

Anyway, and moving onto the products, their chocolate is all handmade right here in the UK, it's organic and made with a variety of different 'superfoods'. The majority of their flavours are vegan friendly and all of the bars are both gluten and soya free. Also, how gorgeous is their packaging!? I absolutely love it!

I was really excited to try all of the flavours I was sent and I have to say that I was quite surprised that I really liked all of them. I'm not always a fan of chocolate when it has been mixed with different flavours but I found all of these bars to be quite subtle in their taste and enjoyable.

I think if I had to choose a favourite it would probably be the Maple Toasted Rice & Pink Salt with the Goji & Orange coming in as a close second. These flavour combinations worked really well for me but all of the bars I tried were creamy and smooth making them a really delicious treat.

Hippeas have been a relatively new find for me this year but they have quickly become a firm favourite in my house. These organic chickpea puffs really remind me of Wotsits in their shape and texture but they're a much healthier choice for you being made from chickpeas and therefore being high in fibre and protein. They also come in a variety of different flavours, all of which are vegan and gluten free.

The only flavour I had tried until now was 'Sweet & Smokin' which is so delicious and remains my favourite of the bunch. I was really looking forward to trying the other flavours and I didn't even know some of them existed as my local Waitrose only tends to stock one of two different kinds. I was really impressed by "Cheese & Love' and 'Pepper Power' but with so many to choose from I think there's something for everyone.

Crisps are a big guilty pleasure of mine but with these being only 90 calories and containing 2.9 grams of protein per bag I have found that I have been able to enjoy a much healthier crispy snack without sacrificing any flavour.

I've never really felt a need to buy a huge amount vegan dairy alternatives, other than milk, as it's not really a side of my previous diet I miss very much. I have however been quite intrigued by the growing selection and variety of vegan products in those chilled aisles at the supermarket.

When these Little Lemon Temptations arrived by The Coconut Collaborative I was pretty excited to find out what i've been missing out on! This brand are already pretty renowned in the vegan world for making a variety of different yoghurts and desserts and their coconut milk based ice creams are amazingly good!

I wasn't sure what to expect from these little snack size pots but I was so pleasantly surprised. They're super thick and creamy and absolutely bursting with zesty flavour! They've been a really welcomed addition to my fridge over the past weeks as they make the perfect after dinner treat to kill my sweet tooth cravings which usually have me reaching for the chocolate. I also really like the small individual size of the pots which makes them perfect for one or for kids too.

Since going vegan it really has been amazing to see the sheer variety of products available expanding all the time. It's never been easier to go vegan and with healthier alternatives like all of these in the shops it's not only a better change for the animals, but also your waistline too!

What are some of your favourite vegan snacks?
