My Month In Photos | January 2018

January is always a bit of a strange month for me personally and this January has been no different. If anything it has felt weirder and longer than ever before! (My God are we STILL in January!?!?....) I'd be lying if I didn't mention that I've had a few low points this month wondering what direction my life is headed in, but that's totally normal for the new year right!? Anyway, aside from my emotional blips, this January has in fact been a month of firsts, new experiences and learning new things. I've actually felt myself grow in some ways which has been positive and, looking back, I've managed to squeeze quite a lot in.

I wanted to start a new regular monthly reflections post on the blog for 2018 so this is the first in a whole new series, and well, I hope you like it!

Getting our home decluttered after Christmas and fresh and clean again felt amazing.

Jetting off to Norway was one way to beat the January blues,
but they still caught up with me once we got home.

Seeing the Northern Lights for the first time ever was a huge bucket list tick and a moment I shall never forget. It was the best moment of January and quite possibly my life!

Feeding and photographing reindeers in Norway was another highlight.

An introduction to illustration course with Guardian Masterclasses

I also went on a Brush Lettering workshop with Tea & Crafting which was so much fun!

I'm about two years late to the party but all my creative endeavours this month
have led me to startup my own bullet journal.

Foodie highlights this month were definitely trying out the new Wicked Kitchen range at Tesco.
I have been really blown away by just how good it is and I can't stop thinking about the pizza.

Andy and I also paid a little visit to Sticks n Sushi in London for the first time and enjoyed a really delicious meal there. There were plenty of veg and vegan options which was good to see!

It was on my Winter Bucket List and I'm so pleased I made it down to the Lumiere London festival.

Later on in the month I also made an effort to go to the Canary Wharf Winter Lights display which was equally as fun and cool to photograph. Both of these events really brightened up January for me!

We even got to see more snow this month!

How was January for you? Any personal highlights?
