My Month In Photos | March 2018

March has absolutely flown by and it's been such a busy and fun month, although very tiring too!

Here's some of the best bits in photos...

Added some Spring Home Touches to my house

The Daffodils arrived, even if the weather didn't.
And Spring did eventually make an appearance...albeit just for a day or two!

A visit to the Dough Society in London, aka vegan donut paradise

The snow came again...

And again!

I enjoyed a first time visit to the Barbican Conservatory

Mothers Day

I finally got around to ordering some new business cards from Moo

I've been loving my new Strong Girls Club tee!

I tried out some delicious vegan options at Slug & Lettuce

It may have snowed again....

We had a blast in Amsterdam!

Treated myself to a little something from Lush for Easter

I made a vegan candle at a workshop with Join

I also got to try my hand at some flower arranging with Bloomologie

And they supplied us with some tasty vegan donuts from Borough22

I've been working on my bullet journal for April

I bought my first copy of Om Nom magazine

I've been trying out The Ordinary Foundation

There's been lots of wet walks with dogs but The People's Poncho has kept me nice and dry!

My little Zen got some bad news about needing surgery on his hip and knee.

I got to go to the Purezza restaurant opening in London

How was March for you?

Purezza London Opening | Vegan

This week the plant based pizza restaurant Purezza opened the doors to their new second restaurant in Camden Town London. When I first heard that this Brighton favourite was to open a second restaurant closer to my home I really was so happy and excited! And to receive an invite to their launch night was just a dream come true.

Join Candles | Vegan & Cruelty Free

We all know how much I love a candle and, even as we enter into the Spring and Summer, I am still very much enjoying lighting a candle every evening once my working day has ended and it's time to wind down. Last year I wrote a  blog post  about some of my favourite vegan and cruelty free candles and since then I have also discovered another new favourite by Join.

Spring Is In The Air | Lifestyle

I have always considered myself to be a real winter lover who embraces the cold weather and dark evenings, but this year it feels like something has shifted inside of me and I am actually looking forward to spring and everything that comes with it.

The Real Greek's Vegan Menu Launch

This week I went along to the exciting launch of The Real Greek's new vegan menu at their restaurant in Soho. Prior to this night I couldn't even remember the last time I'd stepped into one of their restaurants and to be honest they haven't really been on my vegan radar, until now that is!

48 Hours In Amsterdam | Travel

If you already follow me on social media you will know that last week I spent a couple of nights in Amsterdam with my husband. It was actually a trip that we were supposed to go on for my birthday back in December but due to the snow we were sadly unable to go. Luckily we managed to reschedule to March and in many ways I think i'm glad it worked out like this as Spring and Amsterdam just seem to go hand in hand together. I use the word 'Spring' loosely as we're not quite there yet with the weather and as I am typing this I can't quite believe it is snowing in the UK yet again!

Slug & Lettuce | Vegan

I was recently asked to pop along to the Slug & Lettuce in Brentwood for lunch and to check out their new refurbishment and I was pretty interested to check out their menu and see what vegan options they had on offer. I can't honestly remember the last time I'd been to a Slug & Lettuce prior to this visit, probably back in the day when I used to go out drinking a lot more than I do now! And I guess I have always associated it as being more of a drinking place than somewhere to go to eat.

The Ordinary Foundation | Vegan & Cruelty Free

I think foundation would have to be the most important makeup product to me and it's one thing I am always on the look out for finding a better version of. It's also the one product I don't mind spending a bit more money on.

The Loneliness Of Freelancing | Life Stories

One thing that you don't really think about when making the move or decision to become self employed is just how damn lonely it can be. I touched on it before in my 'Why I Became A Blogger' post but to go from working in a really lively office of twenty plus people to just working by myself has been quite a shock to my system, especially as I am someone who thrives on the support and encouragement of others.

The Barbican Conservatory | Plants

It's no secret how much I love plants lately and it's a new passion and hobby which really does bring me a lot of happiness. One of my favourite things to do at the weekend is to browse plant shops and photograph plants. My current house plant collection is pretty big and I'm trying not to add too many more to it at the moment which is proving difficult! But one thing I have realised is that I don't have to be buying plants to be enjoying them. It can be just as fun to go and look at them without necessarily bringing any home with me!

Creative Workshops I've Loved Lately | Lifestyle

At the beginning of this year I found myself feeling a little lost with what I wanted to do and what direction I was headed in. It was over the dreaded new year period, and I guess this is something a lot of people feel at that time of year, so I wasn't feeling too hard on myself. However, and as a way to get myself over this, I decided that the best way forward was to put myself out there and try something new. Partly just for the fun of it and partly just to see if it would lead to anything.

Easter Picks 2018 | Vegan

Every year my vegan Easter egg blog posts prove to be so popular and I am hoping this year will be no different. It's been so good to see the choices for vegans just get better and better every year and i'm thinking 2018 is set to be the best year yet!

Here's my top picks of vegan Easter eggs for 2018...

Hotel Chocolat Dark Chocolate Bunny

I absolutely love the look of this dark chocolate bunny from Hotel Chocolat and they actually have a number of different vegan Easter products this year which is so good to see! I especially love their little Tiddly Dark Chocolate Pot's!

The large Booja Booja eggs are definitely at the more pricer end of the scale at £24.99 each but they look so beautiful and would make a really special treat for someone, or just for yourself!

Moo Free Orange Easter Egg

The Moo Free eggs are a great budget friendly option this Easter and they're especially a good alternative for children. My personal favourite is their chocolate orange flavour but they also have their 'Bunnycomb' and straight forward chocolate flavours available.

Divine Dark Chocolate Egg With Crisp Mint

I've never tried this Divine Easter egg before but mint and dark chocolate is a favourite combination for me so this one is at the top of my wish list this year!

Plamil Milk Chocolate Alternative Mini Half Eggs

I love the look of this cute bunny and mini eggs by Plamil and it's gold bow really makes it an eye catcher.

Montezuma Dark With Cocoa Nibs Eco Egg

I love that Montezuma have created this eco friendly Easter egg! With absolutely no plastic in sight this egg is perfect for the eco conscious vegan in your life. The packaging is also very cute and Montezuma chocolate is one of the best around.

Tesco Finest Salted Caramel Flavoured Egg

This salted caramel Easter egg from the Tesco Finest range is a real vegan crowd pleaser, particularly as it comes with some of their much loved fondant truffles.

So Sweet Couture Dairy Free Easter Hen & Eggs In Basket

I absolutely love the look of this hen and eggs basket and I think it may be my favourite out of this whole bunch! I'd also never heard of this range before making it even more exciting. Oh and I should probably also mention that they do a vegan Easter Egg Treasure Box too!

Cocoa Loco Crystalised Ginger Dark Chocolate Easter Egg

Personally I am not the biggest lover of ginger but I had to include this option from Cocoa Loco because it looks beautiful and I know from experience that their vegan chocolate is delicious.

M&S Made Without Dairy Dark Chocolate Egg

M&S are back again with their Made Without Dairy Dark Chocolate Egg and I have to say that I think they've done so well with their vegan chocolate and I am always picking up their mint and orange chocolate bars when I am in their store.

It's also worth mentioning that The Vegan Kind Superstore has a great selection of vegan Easter eggs and treats too but if none of that floats your boat you could also melt down your favourite vegan chocolate and make your own Easter eggs like I did in this video!

What's on your Easter wish list!??
